From the moment the keys hit the ignition, a big rig becomes more than a machine. That’s especially true of custom truck builds in Florida. Those require skill, hard work and a good plan. But once the cab is reworked, the exterior refreshed and the interior rebuilt, it can turn a rig into a road legend.
Every weld and custom part tells a story of power and precision. From raw foundation to rolled perfection, the process is meticulous, honest, and built to last.
At Florida Finest Customs, we specialize in offering updates to your rig and complete, custom rebuilds. Here are some recent examples:
Peterbilt 369: Complete Interior and Exterior Rebuild
Some custom truck projects are bigger than others. In the case of a 2006 Peterbilt 389, the Florida Finest Customs team completely rebuilt the interior and also made changes to the exterior. A truck considered a “disaster” came out looking like it rolled off the showroom floor.
Externally, the team installed a bowtie visor (13 on the wide, nine inches on the metal), which required first removing the old visor. They also removed all the old rivets on the side of the cab, installing threads so that the new visor is easier to remove if, for example, the owner decides to replace the windshield.
Inside, the cabin has a sleeper and a bathroom. The crew installed new cabinet doors, a new floor, leather backing, and LED lights. In the cabin, the dash was pulled out and painted grey with blue panels to match the exterior of the truck. They also installed new seats, new pedals, a headliner, and dome lights. They also installed a tall shifter with a Peterbilt 369 shift boot plate.
As you can see in this video, the rebuild is one of the biggest Florida Finest Customs has done.
Full Truck Customization of a Kenworth W900 Interior
The recent custom rebuild on a Kenworth W900 involved the interior and is a great example of a custom truck build in Florida. The team went with black leather seats with red double stitching and a marble red floor. The dash got sanded and painted red to match the rest of the interior. They also installed new speakers, cabin lights, a steering wheel, pedals, door panels, and a head unit. In addition, they added lights to the sleeper with the Kenworth logo.
If you watch this video, you will see not only this interior, but some of the work done during a busy week, including two other Kenworth W900s. Some of the products used can be found on the Florida Finest Customs product page.
Bumper, Stacks, and Other Upgrades on a Freightliner Classic XL
Some rebuilds show how much impact the right upgrades can make. This Freightliner Classic XL received a sleek black-and-chrome look, with custom interior panels, new double-stitched seats, custom lights, and standout exterior additions.
As you can see from the before and after pictures in this video, the Freightliner Classic went from being in rough shape to a black-and-chrome rig that’s both comfortable and a standout on the road.
